Notre Dame Glee Club, under the capable guidance of Sister Miriam Therese, had an exciting and busy year.
The Glee Club’s first performance was to a record crowd on Notre Dame night. During a welcome programme for Mother General, a short preview of Christmas carols was given. Many long practices followed and we were at last prepared to sing at the Georgia Hotel. This performance was later repeated over CKNW. The Christmas Season was terminated with an enjoyable tour on the Carol Ship, and for those undaunted by the wet weather it was an unforgettable day. Our selections for the Laetare Sunday were given very high praise by the adjudicator. Saint Patrick’s Day heard our final performance of this year, as we offered our version the traditional tunes.
